Chapter 2; Question 3
On Page 47 it says “People cannot consistently behave in ways that are inconsistent with the way they perceive themselves.” Agree, disagree? If you agree, what does this say about behavioral approaches to treatment? Biblically, how should we get to changed behavior? How does this contrast from what the world says? And just to stir the pot a little bit, what does this say about the WWJD movement?
"As a man thinks so is he" Proverbs. "Out of the heart the mouth speaks." Doesn't matter if I agree/disagree, Bible says it is true. Romans 12;2 says change happens when we change the way we think. It is not how do you feel but what are you thinking. Asking WWJD is the same as thinking like Christ "Let this mind be in you" Philippians 2
